The cost for yearly membership is $20 per person, $35 for a family, or you may choose a lifetime membership for $200/person.

Membership fees are due by March 31 of each year. Membership dues can be sent to our mailing address.

Help with Transportation

One way we save lives is to pull dogs from animal shelters and transport them to rescues who have space available.

Rescues may be 20 miles away or

200 miles or more.

We often coordinate with other transports. If you are interested in helping with transportation, please contact us.

All financial donations are tax deductible. You can mail your donations to: SCHS, P. O. Box 1535, Gate City, VA 24251.

Foster A

Dog

Become a Foster Parent

SCHS often pulls dogs from animal shelters. We need people to be foster parents! Foster parents agree to care for a dog until a new home is approved or until transportation to a rescue (breed rescue or otherwise) can be arranged.

Potential foster families must apply and be approved while agreeing to certain rules for care.

If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please contact us at 276-452-SCHS(7247) and leave a message. Your call will be returned in a timely manner.
