ABOUT US
The Scott County Humane Society was formed by a small group of animal lovers dedicated to improving the lives of the animals of Scott County, Virginia. We have been a 501(c)(3) organization since November 2007. We are a 100% volunteer organization and rely solely on monetary donations. All donations are tax deductible.

By concentrating on a low cost spay/neuter program for cats and dogs, aggressively pulling dogs from the local animal shelter for reputable rescues, and adopting dogs into loving homes, we have helped our local animal shelter reduce the euthanasia rate from 69% in 2013 to 1.99% in 2023.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. For more information, call 276-452-7247 and leave a message. Or email us at scott.county.humane@gmail.com
