Become a Member of SCHS: The cost for yearly membership is $20 per person, $35 for a family, or you may choose a lifetime membership for $200/person. Membership fees are due by March 31 of each year. Membership dues can be sent to our mailing address.

Become a Foster Parent:  SCHS often pulls dogs from the animal shelter. We need people to be foster parents! Foster parents agree to care for a dog until a new home is approved or until transportation to a rescue (breed rescue or otherwise) can be arranged. Potential foster families must apply and be approved while agreeing to certain rules for care. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please contact us at 276-452-SCHS(7247) and leave a message. Your call will be returned in a timely manner. Help with Transportation: One way we save lives is to pull dogs from the animal shelter and transport them to rescues who have space available. The rescue may be 20 miles away, or it may be 200 miles or more. We often coordinate with other transports as well. If you are interested in helping with transportation, please email us at scott.county.humane@gmail.com or call 276-452-7247.
