To Cold To Be Outside

Tennessee and Virginia laws state that when temperatures drop below freezing companion animals are to be brought inside. If you think your animals are fine outside after the temperature drops below freezing, then go outside with a light jacket and sit next to your dog or cat for one hour. If you think it is too cold for you to be outside, then it is definitely too cold for your animal to be outside, and you should make sure that they have a warm, comfortable bed inside just like you do. Our companion animals are no different than us and they will most certainly suffer and possibly die if left out in these fridged temperatures. If you are not going to take the proper care of your animals, then find a rescue or shelter that will take them in and make sure that they have food, warmth, and a comfortable place to sleep. You do not have to make them suffer, give them a chance at a better life.
